Daily Schedule
At Sunlight Recovery patients will begin forming healthy recovery foundations
by examining how past choices and patterns of behavior have contributed to the
abuse of substances and subsequent consequences. Staff at Sunlight Recovery
will assist patients with the recovery process by providing individuals with the
knowledge and support necessary for living a quality sober life.
Patients are expected to participate in a variety of treatment services
including individual therapy, gender specific group therapy and 12-Step meetings.
Patients are directed toward obtaining employment and are assisted by staff in
that pursuit. Each clinical day consists of participation in at least
four group therapy sessions. Each day focuses on addiction and recovery concepts,
spiritual growth, family dynamics and the relapse process.
| Admissions | back
to top | |
All patients must be adult men and women, at least 18 years of age. All patient
admissions are voluntary but need to meet program criteria. Individuals with medical
conditions must be assessed for appropriateness prior to admission.
Admission staff must be notified of any and all legal issues that might alter
the course of care for the patient being admitted.
| | | | Assessments | back
to top | |
All patients receive an initial assessment upon admission to determine the most
appropriate level of care to meet their individual needs. If the individual does
not meet admission criteria at the time of the assessment, the individual will
be referred to appropriate community resources for services. All patients
must be free of acute medical symptoms that would interfere with the treatment
process. Diagnosed mental health issues will not exclude the patient from the
treatment program; however, the patient will be closely monitored by a
psychiatrist and must be compliant with prescribed medications.

| The
Florida House is a 105-bed male sober
living facility and a 72-bed female sober living facility offering supportive,
supervised gender specific living environments for men and women to transition
into the community from structured detoxification and inpatient treatment.
The Florida House is dedicated to providing a supportive and sober
living environment, enabling residents to develop the skills and confidence to
become productive members of society. All Residents Commit to the Following:
The Florida House is located adjacent to Sunlight Recovery,
an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility which is a licensed by
the State of Florida offering day/night (PHP), intensive outpatient and
outpatient treatment for adult men and women males 18 years of age and
older. We are proud to now be working in conjunction with Sunlight Recovery
by offering extended care services to those clients in need of additional treatment
following detoxification and/or inpatient treatment. The Florida
House adds additional structure and monitoring while helping the individual
develop a support system in the community and engage in their own personal program
of recovery. Combined services of The Florida House sober
living and Sunlight Recovery treatment provide clients with a residential
treatment environment at affordable
outpatient pricing. “INNOVATIONS”
In our efforts to provide the very best quality of
care in recovery and housing we are proud to announce our new addition to our
ever- growing family and methods to combat the disease of alcoholism and drug
addiction. “Innovations”
is the middle of the road between sober living and intensive day night
treatment. Sunlight Recovery, our
licensed treatment center, offers a range of services from intensive day/night
treatment to after care services for drug and alcohol addiction
problems. The Florida House offers a supportive
living environment for the client who has already completed an intensive detox
process and rehab program. “Innovations”
becomes the middle missing link. In today’s society the cost and restrictions
of health insurance along with expensive rehabilitation prices makes it
difficult for our family members to get proper guidance and care that is required
for our loved ones in the battle of alcoholism and drug abuse.
“Innovations” offers that missing link by
providing services of an enhanced structured living environment. “Innovations”
is for individuals who are coming back from a relapse or have had minimum treatment
of twenty-one days or less. Innovations offers
the client the opportunities needed to re-establish structure into their daily
lives. “Innovations” equips the client with
these innovative tools necessary in building the foundation required for a successful
transition back into today’s world. The program also gives the client strength,
hope and faith, which are an additional requirement in dealing with the battle
of alcoholism and drug abuse. Innovations bridges these gaps for the client
and allows them to live in the pursuit of sobriety and happiness.
Please remember that we believe that a structured program can lead to changes
in thinking and behavior through implementation of healthy life skill instruction.
Repetition is the key and time is the arena. We include in our daily
structured program “work”- this helps the individual
to become responsible for himself/herself. During evening hours, everyone is busy
with assigned workshops, 12 step programs and individual therapy. Residents are
accountable for their lack of discipline in keeping their quarters clean. Reinforcement
of the house rules and accountability is a very important step in achieving respect
for self and others. We also take into consideration the difficulty
parent have with children between the ages of 18 to 25-
it’s a difficult time for them as well as we as parents. For that reason, we incorporate
into “Innovations” guidance, structure and
consequences for negative behavior in a loving, caring and nurturing manner.

TREATMENT AND RECOVERY CENTER NEWS FOR OUR CLIENTS AND FAMILIES

Sunlight
Recovery announces a new program with the "Powerhouse Gym Fitness Center."
In addition to our on campus work out center, our clients will now enjoy the facilities
at the Powerhouse Gym Fitness Center. The Fitness Center offers certified personal
trainers, free weights, aerobic classes, spinning, pilates and yoga. This program
is offered 5 days a week to all of our clients in Sunlight Recovery.

Sunlight
Recovery announces the anticipated opening of "JoJo's Clean and sober
Cafe" on the Deerfield Bach campus. The sober cafe will open prior
to the Spring of 2008. "JoJo's" will feature deli sandwiches and snacks,
soft drinks, coffee and the company of other individuals in Recovery. The sober
Cafe will compliment "The Room", a 12 step meeting room offered to clients
and the public at large. Sunlight Recovery believes that you can't treat the disease
of addiction in a 28 day program, rather treatment must be long term. Sunlight
Recovery along with Innovations, The Florida House and Graduate Housing
offers a long-term (6 or more months) of ongoing treatment and supervision.
Sunlight Recovery offers its programs, "JoJo's" and "The Room" all
on the Deerfield Beach campus.
